In this section, various styles of music is described in detail, encompassing music form the East to the West. Prominent musicians of various styles and era are also highlighted complete with their contribution to that particular syle and era. These consist the evolution of music around the world. Discover the structure of music in various era and its close relation to the society.

Style - Rock & Roll
The category of Rock music describes a group of related music styles that have dominated popular music in the Western Hemisphere since the 1950s
Style - R & B
Rhythm and blues, which is most commonly referred to as R & B, is comprised of a variety of different but related styles
Style - Jazz
The jazz movement originated in the southern city of New Orleans in the 1890's
Style - Folk
Folk music is music which is transmitted orally or aurally i.e. taught through performance and learned by ear rather than from printed or written material
Style - Classical
Around the mid-1700s,the Baroque style of music began to seem old-fashioned
 Style - Caribbean
The genre of Caribbean Music encompasses a diverse variety of musical styles and traditions from islands that are located in the Caribbean Sea
Style - Latin
The region of Latin America contains a very rich variety of cultural and musical heritages
Medieval Era
The Medieval Era is the longest and most remote period of musical history. It is important to note that this musical era consists of almost a thousand years worth of music
Baroque Era
The term Baroque era describes the style or period of European music between the years of 1600 and 1750. The term Baroque was derived from a Portuguese word meaning "a pearl of irregular shape.
Romantic Era
The Romantic era was a period of great change and emancipation. While the Classical era had strict laws of balance and restraint, the Romantic era moved away from that by allowing artistic freedom, experimentation, and creativity
Renaissance Era
The Renaissance era encompasses Western music history from 1400 to the begining of the 1600’s. This period in time marked the rebirth of humanism, and the revival of cultural achievements for their own sake in all forms of art, including music.
Classical Era
Although the Classical Era lasted for only 70 years, there was a substantial change in the music that was being produced. Classical music placed a greater stress on clarity with regard to melodic expression and instrumental color
20th Century/Modern Era
With the coming of the 20th century another evolution in the musical world emerged
